If you fall into the category of small or medium sized business, chances are you have not utilized the web to its fullest potential. Let this year be the year that you change all that. This isn't about getting a website...many if not most of you have done that. I'm talking about doing what you need to do to make the web in all of its aspect work for your business. Here are my top ten web things to do in 2008.

1. Update your site and either keep it up to date or pay someone to keep it up to date for you. A site that hasn't been updated since 1999 doesn't look good.

2. Add email marketing to your marketing strategies. Integrate subscriptions to your newsletters on your website.

3. Do at least some pay-per-click advertising.

4. Write at least a couple of articles and distribute them via article distribution sites.

5. Add Google Analytics to your site and spend 15 minutes a week reviewing the data.

6. Add at least one inbound link to your site per month.

7. Create some decent outlook stationary for your business email.

8. Deliver a newsletter at least quarterly to your customers.

9. Start a blog...

10. Optimize your website (search engine optimization).

Bonus: Get on the social media bandwagon. A good place to start for business to business is LinkedIN. Facebook is a great place for 20's and 30 somethings and mySpace hits the younger set.
